Lincoln United Football Club can confirm that Tony Palmer has been appointed as the club's Women's 1st Team Manager.

Palmer is a UEFA A Licence coach with 20 years of experience within the game, including working as a development coach for The FA, a Head Coach for college women's football and four years at Notts County Boys Academy.

'The Whites' Women's new manager is no stranger to the women's game in the East Midlands, with vast experience gained from previous clubs Nottingham Forest, Derby County, Rotherham United and Mansfield Town.

United's Chairman, Lee Griffin, said this on the new appointment.“Selecting Tony as the new Women's 1st Team Manager was a straightforward decision for the interview panel to make. His extensive experience managing and coaching in the women's game, alongside being a highly qualified coach with the ideal leadership style for the women's game, made him a stand-out candidate. I am delighted to secure Tony’s services and look forward to the season ahead, with our club continuing to champion our women's offer and inspiring our junior girl's pathway."

The new manager has this to say about joining 'The Whites'. "The club have ambitions that mirror my ambitions, both on and off the field, and I look forward to getting started and hitting the ground running in preparation for a successful season ahead. We want to create an enjoyable but competitive environment where women can continue to develop and share achievements as a team together in the next chapter of their football journey."
