After an important win over Melton Town on Saturday, we travel to Boston to face another playoff challenger.

Saturdays win saw goals from Jack McMenemy and Elliot Dye, who made it 3 goals in 3 games for our skipper. The result also extended our unbeaten run to 13 games.

The fixture saw the return to fitness of Sean Wright after a period sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Our hosts come into the game off a 1-0 win away to Heanor Town. The poachers sit 4th in the league, on 61 points having played 31 games.

Boston are managed by former Whites manager Chris Funnell, and have a number of former Whites in the side. Pierce Hudson, Ted Gibbons, Kallum Smith and Matt Cotton all are former Lincoln United players applying their trade at Boston Town.

We won the reverse fixture 3-0, thanks to goals from Jack McMenemy, Tris Drummond and Jaime Ture back in August.

Lincoln United manager Scott Hellewell previewed the fixture. He said:

“We know it will be a tough game, they’re the form team in the league.

“It will be a huge game but we just need to go there and concentrate on ourselves. We will go there to win the game so hopefully it will make for a good contest.”

We look forward to seeing the travelling fans get behind the lads on Saturday.

Up the Whites.
