Last Thursday saw all the staff and pupils at Knights Enham Junior take part in a full day of sporting activity to raise funds for two very worthwhile causes!
With the help of the Simplyhealth sponsored Lions in the Community team, who coordinated the days activities, all the children and their teachers worked their way through eight very different half hour slots of sport which included football, cricket, dancersise, crazy catch, fitness circuits, mini gym and netball , to name but a few!
Funds raised from the event will go towards the school’s forthcoming production of Joseph at the Lights, which will take place next July and for the Jamie G Sporting Trust, whose donations to many local sports clubs and organisations have, and continue to benefit many of the town’s local schoolchildren.
In the afternoon the LITC team were also joined by GCSE students from Harrow Way Community School who helped to man the various stations.
Head of School Gareth Hughes was delighted with the days proceedings.
“The children are always delighted when visitors come in to organise activities for them, and today was no exception! They really enjoy working with the Lions in the Community coaching team and they all threw themselves into the day with great enthusiasm! Raising a good sum of money for two worthwhile causes in the process just topped off a fantastic day”.
