Littlehampton Town will aim to rediscover their winning touch when they host Deal Town at the Sportsfield on Tuesday night in the Pitching In Isthmian Football League South East Division. The Marigolds enter this encounter after a week’s break from action, a welcome pause following last Tuesday’s frustrating 2-0 loss on the road against Sheppey United.

It was a night of near-misses for Littlehampton, who dominated the game only to see multiple chances go astray. Despite Sheppey going down to ten men, the Marigolds were unable to capitalize, hitting the post twice, having two efforts cleared off the line, and missing a crucial penalty at 0-0. Ultimately, Sheppey broke the deadlock against the run of play, leaving Littlehampton to reflect on what might have been.

Looking ahead, the team is also preparing for their Sussex Senior Cup journey to continue, having drawn Crawley Down Gatwick away in the third round. That match, set for 19th November, promises another chance for the Marigolds to make their mark in this year's cup.
