Earlswood 2-5 Littleton

The pressure was dialed up to full notch before kick off in what was, an absolute must win for Littleton in the fight for survival. Going into the game, Littleton had to win and needed Bolehall Swifts to lose in their final league fixture and also hope that Fairfield Villa, would fall to defeat to. It was a good day at the office for the Tonboys with a dominant 5-2 win and results elsewhere, going our way.

Littleton were deserved winners and this was a performance and result, which has been coming for a long time. For the first time in a while, the Ton were clinical in front of goal. Goals coming from; Batchelor x2, Boyd, Cowlishaw and McArdle. It's going right to the wire this one, with the final day on Wednesday 8th May away to 'Coventrians'. If Littleton win and Fairfield draw or lose, the Ton stay up on Wednesday. Anything but three points, it's over.
Manager Adam Parker, gives his thoughts on yesterday and a look ahead to Wednesday;

"Well... it was always going to go to the last day wasn't it... that said, three to four weeks ago, we were 7 points adrift and we were completely written off. In fact, when I took the job, we were written off. Yesterday's win at Earlswood was huge. It had to click and it did. A big well done, to Mikey Boyd! He's recently came back from an injury set back and since re joining the group, he's been excellent when he's come off the bench. I had a feeling, he was ready and my god, did he deliver.

"We must take huge confidence from this win into Wednesday. But we are under no illusions, this is going to be anything but an easy game. Coventrians have been in great form themselves and had some brilliant results of late to keep them away from the drop zone. We know what we need to do tomorrow. The boys are absolutely buzzing to play this one . Any support would be massively appreciated. We want to create a special evening. Up the Ton!!"
