It was a league defeat last night for the Ton, with 3rd place Coventry claiming maximum points.

Littleton 0-3 AFC Coventry Rangers

A disappointing and frustrating evening for Littleton at Five Acres, where we fell to defeat by three goals. Despite the scoreline, manager Adam Parker and his team came off that pitch at Full Time scratching their heads as to why, that game has not been won... It was a bright start to the game from Littleton and out of nothing, Henry Smith gets caught out in behind Cov go 1-0 up against the run of play. Coventry shortly after, doubled their scoreline. James Batchelor, was inches away from scoring after rounding the keeper but an excellent block, took the goalbound shot narrowly wide. It was a fairly dominant second half and we created five huge chances which have to be taken but weren't.

Manager Adam Parker remains upbeat but knows, it's a big task ahead to achieve survival. We spoke to him at Full Time to get his thoughts on the defeat;

"I think everyone at Five Acres will have come away from that game, confused as to how we've not won it... but, the defending for the first two goals is just so poor and teams like Cov, will punish you for that. We played well and for me, were the better side. I asked the lads to look to play more and be possession focused which they were. We created so much and there's 5x sitters there, which we have to score. But the reality is, we haven't.

"The reality for us now, is we have three games left to pull of the great escape. Last night, was a big ask. Coventry are third and have had some fantastic results of late. The next three games, are simply must wins and we have to win Thursday to give ourselves a chance. I know we can create chances and the feedback we get from everyone is how on earth, are we in the position we are in. But if you aren't ruthless in both boxes, you get what you deserve. Results went our way last night, luckily... the boys are locked in and fighting to reach our goal. It's do or die Thursday. Win that, we have huge momentum. But we need some luck with Bolehall, Fairfield & Cadbury dropping points. In seven days, it's all said and done. Let's pull off one of the greatest come backs in this leagues history! Up the Ton."
