It is with great regret, that Littleton Football Club accept the resignation of Adam and his team.

It is with regret, that we announce the departure of manager Adam Parker and his management team. Adam gave his resignation, in advance of the final few games with his intention to walk away at the end of the season. Adam joined the club, at the end of October 2023. Littleton had parted company with the previous manager after relegation from Step 6 and then finding ourselves rock bottom of the MFL 2, with only four points in 10 league games. Adam and the team, had 27 games together including various cup games and amassed the below record;

Wins - 10
Draws - 4
Losses - 13

We spoke to the departing manager, following his reign at the club;

"Obviously, this wasn't the ending we wanted or felt we deserved. We came up short and ultimately, failed. That said, I am immensely proud of us all for giving the club a chance and taking it to the final day. Taking the job, was a huge risk for us personally. We were top of the league with Pershore and we felt we were going to win that league. But opportunities present themselves and I wanted to take the risk and the challenge to save what was, a club in freefall. It has been an honour to manage Littleton and I am devastated to miss out by such fine margins. The club believed in us and together, we helped re-shape and re instill some belief and inject some standard back in.

"If you listen or speak to any top manager worth their salt, they'll all tell you, you need a little bit of luck along the way. For us sadly, we've not had any... losing Curtis, Ethan & Ben in quick succession, was a huge loss for us and our spine and coupled with the long term injuries to some experienced lads, we couldn't find the answers in key moments. What a brilliant league the MFL Two is, it's so competitive and any other season, 26 points keeps you in the league. The players yesterday, were outstanding. We were so good to watch and the spirit of the group, was brilliant. Such a young group, they will all look back on this season and take so much from it.

"It's time for me to step away now and let the club move in a different direction. I made the decision two weeks ago and communicated this with the Chairman. I'd like to thank Mark for the believing in us back in October. The players, for their unbelievable commitment and my management team, who have been incredible. I am sure, they will all be looking forward to a break and not having me moving at 100mph... But for now, it's to pursue something new and I look forward to what's next for me personally. Up the Ton!

A word from Mark Wilcox, the Chairman:

"On behalf of Littleton Football Club, we would like to thank Adam and the team for all their efforts during the second half of the season. It was always going to be a challenge to stay up, but we took it to our last game and nearly, pulled it off. The commitment and professionalism the management team bought into the club, was outstanding and keeping the group together, throughout the busy end of season schedule. The players have put their hearts and souls into trying to pull off the greatest of escapes. I have enjoyed working with Adam and wish him all the best in pursuit of his next chapter. Thank you!"
