The first ten minutes of the game displayed Storm's strength, determination and teamwork as they kept the Bulldogs from going
over to score until the 12th minute - something the players said they wanted to achieve before they took to the field. This period
showed the coaches and spectators how much work the players had put in over Christmas and pre-season training.
After Burtonwood scored their first try they took hold of the game with their impressive passing plays. This took a lot out of Storm
and made them rethink how they were to play. Storm half backs Liam Evans and Luke Harvey began to direct the teams
attacking play with more conviction, whilst Luke Sabatini and Jordan Spratt once again put in a fantastic performance in defence.
Strong runs in attack from Andrew Thompson, Ian Kinney, Elliot Doyle and Patrick Cosgrove provided hints of what the team had
been working on in pre-season.
On the day, Burtonwood's passing game out smarted Storm, but there is no reason for Storm to walk off the pitch disappointed.
Their team spirit, desire to carry on and promising stints in attack and defence offer the players and coaches reason to be proud
of the performance.
Man of the Match - Patrick Cosgrove.
Patrick put in a fantastic performance - his first appearance in a few months. Patrick took to the field after 20 minutes and stayed
on until the 70th minute displaying promising attacking and defending technique. Patrick's improved fitness shone with his long
stint on field and he should be extremely proud of his development.
