Sam Stockley appointed as the new Head of Coaching

We officially welcome Sam Stockley as our new Head of Coaching at Llandudno FC.

Sam has a vast footballing history including playing for teams such as Southampton FC, Wycombe Wanderers FC, FC New York along with multiple other clubs. As a coach, Sam has coached multiple first team squads for teams such as the Carolina Railhawks FC, FC New York, and US Virgin Islands. Sam has also worked as a scout for the United States National Team and as an assist head coach for the United States Soccer Federation’s Youth National Team.

Sam has also played under respected and influential managers and utilised their advice and guidance to shape his own coaching methods, managers include Graeme Souness, Mark Wright and Colin Clarke.

Here is what Sam had to say on his appointment:

“I’m very excited about the opportunity ahead. I truly believe in the vision that Sam and Andrew presented to me about the club and the future direction of the club. You can clearly see with the hiring of Eards and his staff that the club is looking to get back to the top level of Welsh football again.

Their vision for Academy and player development sits exactly where my philosophy sits, along with their desire to make Llandudno the very best it can possibly be. I’m very grateful that they have trusted me with that project, and I can’t wait to get started. My passion is to help, support and develop and this role at Llandudno gives me an opportunity to do just that. I believe that we as a team of coaches can do great things for our players, the club and the community.”

Sam will start his journey at the club on the 10th of August. We welcome Sam to Llandudno FC and are keen to see what he can bring to the club.
