A look back on last season , and thoughts on pre season and the year ahead.

It seems like only yesterday since we where lifting the leuage trophy and here we are again on the eve of another season competing in our 4th new league in as many seasons.

Last years achievements where by far the highlight of our clubs small but short history, we won games we had absolutely no right too ,not through good football but a sheer determination passion and will to win.
We travelled to Anglesey 5 times in 6 weeks and come away with 4 wins those wins are what won us the leuage not the eye catching thumpings we handed out at home good football will only take you so far it's gritty performances that are always the most pleasing.

Enough of last seasons it's old news and as we have been from the start we will be looked at by most clubs as the young cocky pretenders, and teams will really want to do one over on us.
The Cymru Alliance this year is said to be the strongest it's been for years I think the same must be said about the Welsh Alliance Div 1 .
Conwy are rightly so the favourites if it's true about there playing budget for this season then there should be no excuses from them.
They have cherry picked the best players from the leauge and will be a force.
Llangefni as always look contenders as do Llandyrnog and then there's the ever present consistent teams that have been competing in this year for so long Llanberis , Llanrhug Penrhyn champions glantraeth Nantle Vale and Greenfield.

A season of consolidation wouldn't do us no harm we have to cap expectations slightly after climbing 4 Leagues. But as always we will be going out there to win games.

Pre season on the whole has been ok , you can have the most detailed plans but at this level nothing ever goes the way you want or need so there have been some good games and bad , good sessions and bad but as long as we are ready on Saturday which I feel we are then our goals of pre season have been achieved.
Almost Every single player from last season signed on again before training even began which was pleasing then the rest followed quite soon and only one from last year remains and that player is injured and may well do.
Before even thinking about signing new players it was always out aim no retain. I fully expected them all too why wouldn't you? Money ? Plenty got good offers from local clubs plenty got offers to play higher but Albion is a close knit group and we don't often loose players we don't want too.
In come young centre backs Anthony Marshall and Callum Jones from Llandudno and Danny Hughes Brother of Luke Fountain from Conwy , Adam Hold From Conwy Jack Lloyd Jones from Abergele and Tom Skelley who's coming back from a break from the game.

All players have really settled in well and been very impressive during pre season and will really strengthen our squad.

It's sometimes hard not too but I didn't really want the players looking too much into pre season results we have beaten the teams we where expected to and lost to the teams we wasn't expected to win until this weekend.
A behind closed doors friendly on Tuesday against a very strong Llandudno FC give us real confidence.
To then beat local rivals Llandudno junction on Saturday has put a real buzz through the squad and we feel we are peaking at the correct time not to early and not too late.

Here's to another rollercoaster ride of a season we aren't expecting to be champions but to ruffle a few feathers and maybe a good cup run wouldn't be a bad one after 3 hectic seasons.
