The Loughborough College Rugby side is linked to LRFC and all College players, if not already with a local club, are actively encouraged to train and play at Loughborough RFC. The College side plays in various competitions (normally on a Wednesday)and within different age groups. The bulk of the competitions are for under 19's (on Aug 30th 2010).Competitions entered included Leicestershire College's 10's, East Midlands College's 10 AND East Midlands British Colleges' 10s. Other friendlies are flexible whereby we have had fixtures for "combined College and Uni students" and "under 20's"

Last years highlight was a victory against South Leicester College Rugby Academy which has links with Tigers and contained 4 of the Leicestershire county under 20's side. The College side was skippered by LRFC's Jordan Goddard and involved other Loughborough RFC players (mainly Development Squad) such as Oli Ward, Steve Duffus, Rob Anthony, Dave Evans, Tom Pate, Dan Crumplin, Dan Jamieson, Callum Mcdonald, Alex Murray Smith, Sam Knight, Gaz Owen, Alex Seymour and Chris Scott.

The 1st trial and pre-season has already taken place with the new coaching team of Rooie Ash (last years Development Squad skipper) and Camilo Parilli leading the first session. Exciting times lie ahead with other international players (Student level) having already offered their coaching and playing services. Training will be on Monday's.. times to be confirmed.
