On Saturday 21st December we will be having charity game to raise money for the Newry Hospice... followed by the Xmas Dinner!!

They say charity begins at home... but here in Lurgan United FC we say different!

We have arranged another club charity event, a Firsts vs Seconds game, only this time all proceeds will go directly to the Newry Hospice.

A charity football match will be played at Lurgan Town Arena's 3G Pitch, and will kick off at 12.00 noon sharp.

All current players, ex-players and interested parties are invited to play. It will be £5.00 a head and promises to be a great day's craic, as always!

Anyone who isn't currently involved with the club but is interested in playing should just get in touch with JD... Indeed, if anyone wants a sponsorship form to raise a few quid extra for this excellent cause, then once again please just give John Darragh a wee shout!

Many thanks to Lurgan Town who have generously donated their pitch free of charge. Thanks also to top MURA referee Mr Killian Kerr, who has kindly agreed to give up his time FOC too for such a worthy cause.

The festive season then continues as the club holds it's now legendary Xmas Dinner Party, which has returned once more to Wee Paddys fine establishment beside the town clock in Lurgan!

Tickets are available from any committee member and are fixed at £15.00 each. There will be a 3-course meal, traditional Xmas Fare of course, and the whole shebang kicks off at 6.30pm precisely.

All those attending are asked to rendezvous at The Premier bar first, at or before 6.00pm, in order to procure their refreshments for the evening... (buy your drink!!)

A Xmas Raffle in aid of club funds will also be held on the night, and then afterwards all 'party goers' are invited back to The Premier to continue the night's celebrations... right into the wee small hours!

Oh, and one more thing... UTLRs!!!
