Lutterworth RFC are pleased to announce the arrival of new Men’s Head Coach Chris Tarbuck

With the arrival of a new season albeit start time to be confirmed, Lutterworth RFC are pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Tarbuck as Head Coach for the Men’s section.

Chris first arrived at Lutterworth towards the end of the 2019/20 season to oversee an unbeaten Lutts 1st XV side until the end of the season which abruptly ended in March. Lutterworth RFC concluded the season sitting 7th in Midlands 1 East.

Following a two-year break to concentrate on building his Leicestershire business, Autumn Boilers, Chris returns to Senior Men's Coaching having previously coached at Syston RFC for a total of eight seasons. An ex-professional Rugby Player and Coach Chris was an outstanding back-row forward starting out at Southend RFC and progressing onto play at Saracens and Leicester Tigers. During his playing career Chris has also run out for Midlands sides Rugby Lions, Leicester Lions, Coventry but more notably early on in his career captained England students, England A and the Midlands Division for two seasons.

With an outstanding ability to analyse players and teams, Chris focuses on player development and is prepared to go that extra mile to ensure players reach their potential.

Chris is supported this season by Forwards Coach Phil Greenbury and Backs Coach Mitch Read who both have experienced playing and coaching careers between them from Senior to Youth and back to Senior again!

Steve Russell, recently awarded Club of the Year 2020 alongside Pat Donovan, will continue as 1st Team / Senior Manager and we welcome the return of Ian Evans as 2nd XV Manager.

Ben Keable and Luke Tallis both step down from 3rd team management due to outside commitments, Connor Haywood taking on the role of Manager.
