Following the resignation of James Morse and his team at the end of the season Danny Elliott has been appointed as first team manager at the club.

Danny, a former Newport Country player transitioned into coaching at the same club, spending 18 years developing his trade in various roles including under 18 head coach before joining the first team coaching staff under both Justin Edinburgh and Michael Flynn. In his time as fist team coach Newport reached two play off finals and an FA Trophy final.

Danny holds a UEFA A coaching licence and is an FA Advanced Youth Award Holder.

Danny will be assisted by Nicky Potts. Nicky played over 350 games in the Welsh league, before going into coaching with Lliswerry and Pill FC.
