Firstly Callum Southalls men were victorious at home to the Chester Taverners with key knocks from Mark Jones and Jack Hinchcliffe seeing them home.
Next up on Saturday a youthful Malpas side hosted Winsford. Determined to banish the memories of last weeks disaster at Saughall, Malpas finally put a good score on the board reaching 185-9. After wobbling to 63-3 after Jones had run himself out, Malpas were indebted to a fine partnership between youngsters Lewis Charlton and Nathan Ackerley who shared a stand of 61. Michael Rae, Keith Ricketts and Jordan Roberts also made useful contributions with the bat. Charlton is Malpas's form man with the bat over the last month.
Things started well with the ball with early wickets for the returning Rhys Young and Southall. A brief lull saw Winsford edge their way back before a vital breakthrough from Roberts opened up an end. Debutant spinner Simon Rae then teased and tormented the lower order picking up 3 wickets before Southall came back to wrap up proceedings, with the catch fittingly taken by Charlton.
The final victory saw an even more youthful Sunday team beat Fens Bank by 9 wickets. The highlights being 50* for Michael Rae and wickets for under 15s Freddy and Matty.
