Football Academy first team striker George Neill took home all three football awards at the recent end of year SGS College Sports Academy Awards.On the night George was selected as Players’ Player of the Year, Top Goal Scorer and the coveted Manager’s Player of the Year.
This achievement was all the more impressive considering that George was in his first year at SGS College.
Speaking after the awards, Head of the Football Academy David Hockaday gave some insight into why George was chosen as a recipient for the awards.
“George is a big striker who is quicker than he looks. He has done exceptionally well in his first year and scored 45 goals for the college team and for Bristol Academy on Saturday and has lots of assists as well. His academics in Level Three Sports are strong.
