Marine AFC are pleased to announce the loan signings of Salford City players Momodou Touray and Alex Doyle until January 2021.
Striker Momodou, 21, was born in the Gambia and has several Wales U-19 and U-21 caps to his name.
He began his career with Newport County in 2017, moving on to a successful spell at Barry Town United before joining Salford, making his debut for the Ammies in September 2020 against Manchester United U21 in the EFL Trophy.
19 year old Alex is a central midfielder who hails from Salford and was the first Academy graduate to play in the club's first team, going on to make several appearances.
He signed a professional contract for City in summer 2019 with a further year being agreed this summer.
Subject to FA approval both players will be available for selection for tomorrow's League opener at Dunston.
Manager Neil Young said:
"I would like to thank Salford for allowing Alex and Mo to join us on loan.
It's been no secret internally after losing Lussey, Irwin and Howarth from last years midfield that this was an area that we needed to strengthen.
I'm sure most Managers at our level and the one above will tell you recruitment has been difficult due to the staggered start of the season and the amount of players still on trial at a number of National League and National League North clubs, but I'm delighted to have added Alex to our midfield; he's young, strong, already has football league experience and has the hunger to want to develop and progress.
On Mo, we had a knowledge of him from the Welsh Premier League and he played against us in a friendly recently and was excellent.
He will bring pace and power to our forward line to supplement the players we already have here and like Alex has the hunger and desire to do well."
