MARINE v PICKERING TOWN ARRANGEMENTS

MARINE v PICKERING TOWN ARRANGEMENTS

Dave McMillan21 Oct 2020 - 18:16

Club follows Government and FA advice concerning supporter travel....

Northern Premier League Marine announces arrangements for their next home league game at The Marine Travel Arena against Pickering Town on Tuesday 27 October 2020 at 7:45pm.

Marine officials have considered Government travel advice following the placing of the Liverpool City Region, including Sefton, into Tier 3 local lockdown measures which includes guidance that people should avoid travelling out of or entering a very high alert level area, other than for things like work, education or to meet caring responsibilities.

Northern Premier League officers also advise that for the time being clubs placed under Tier 3 restrictions should discourage fans from travelling to away games and the FA endorses that recommendation whilst current restrictions and advice remains in place.

The FA with the Government and the support of Sefton Council are allowing a maximum of 400 spectators into the The Marine Travel Arena which represents just 12% of the capacity of the stadium.

As a consequence of the strictly limited number of fans allowed, the need for track and trace information and to assist in meeting new local lockdown covid-19 measures the game will be all ticket with tickets purchased via Kaizen Ticketing.

Pickering Town officials have confirmed that they too are discouraging their fans from travelling to away games and as such do not require a ticket allocation for the game at Marine.

Adult tickets cost £10.75 including transaction and booking fees of 75p. Concessionary tickets for retired citizens and school children aged 12-16 cost £6.50 including fees of 50p whilst tickets for children aged 11 and under cost £3.35 include fees of 35p.

A limited number of tickets are available via Kaizen to NHS workers registered with Marine FC.

Tickets for the game will be on sale from midday on Wednesday 21 October and can only be purchased using the link:

Fans entering the stadium must have their e-ticket or printed ticket which will be scanned on entry at gates 1 or 2 on College Road which will open at 6:45pm. NHS workers must have their work ID in addition to the match ticket.

Marine full members and junior season ticket holders should enter the stadium by presenting their pass at Gate 3 and must also provide their contact details prior to entering the ground for test and trace purposes.

Marine Chairman Paul Leary said:

“We have worked very hard in making the necessary adjustments within the stadium and clubrooms in order to comply with Government guidelines and in the interest of everyone attending our games, whether it be players, officials, supporters or volunteers.

We recognize and accept Government, Sefton Council, FA and NPL guidance regarding travel and as such tickets for the Pickering Town game will only be available for Marine supporters in agreement with both clubs.

We are pleased with how the arrangements have worked at the MTA so far and we look to continue with the same diligence to ensure as far as possible the safety of everyone attending our games.

Importantly I would like to thank fans attending our games for helping us to meet Government guidelines by adhering to the new arrangements that have been put into place in and around the Marine Travel Arena.

Only by co-operation and working together will we achieve our short term ambition, to continue to play football at the Marine Travel Arena and in front of, albeit, a limited numbers of home supporters only.”

Paul Leary added:

“I look forward to meeting the players, staff and officials of Pickering Town and I trust it will be another exciting game as we continue to build on our recent successes and exploits in the Emirates FA Cup and Buildbase FA Trophy.”
