Despite sharing six goals in a hectic first half United responded in style in the second period to defeat Taplow and earn the 3 points

Once again Marlow struggled in the opening stages of a game ,played on a bitterly cold afternoon at Berry Hill.
The home side took a 4th minute lead as their quick start caught out a sluggish United defence, the robust James Oldham firing home from inside the area.
Credit to the visitors they hit back 5 minutes a later, a Jack Rowley corner being forced home by Ethan Herridge.
Taplow continued to trouble a tentative United defence with Oldham scoring yet again on 11 minutes to restore the lead .
Back stormed the visitors, Matt Jones slamming the ball home from a Rowley cross on 17 minutes.
The visitors took the lead for the first time on the half hour, Eric Sharma firing an unstoppable effort from outside the area as by now they appeared to have the measure of their opponents.
Chris Mantle joined the fray, slotting alongside Herridge in the centre of defence, with Murray McGinnis moving to full back.
Unfortunately the substitute headed into his own goal almost immediately as he attempted to clear a corner.
Despite this set back United hit the crossbar with Jack Thorndyke being the unlucky player as United continued to look the more likely scorers.
HT 3-3
If the first half was a topsy turvy affair, the second period belonged to the visitors with Marlow in almost complete control.
The home side began to run out of steam and ideas, often resorting to fouling their opponents in frustration as Marlow upped the pressure.
They were rewarded with two superb strikes , initially from the dangerous Devonte Johnson on 71 minutes, the player outpacing the Taplow defence and slotting past a despairing keeper.
Ten minutes later Matt Jones added the 5th and possibly best goal of the game, dragging the ball back in the area to wrong foot the defence , placing the ball in the corner of the net.
The game was done and dusted and a delighted Marlow trooped of with a deserved win as they attempt to move up the league.
Next Saturday United host Allied Community Development at Hedsor KO 2pm.
