On Saturday 3rd October Martock RFC 2XV welcomed Chard RFC Vets to the Martock Recreation Ground for their 2nd friendly fixture of the season. This was a reorganised fixture due to Exeter University Engineers crying off earlier in the week, so thanks go to Chard RFC for stepping up to the plate. Martock RFC ended the game with a convincing win over their opponents, with some good passive play, allowing players either unavailable for the league fixtures or wanting a run-out a chance to shine. Chard RFC Vets offered a strong scrum and set-piece, which eventually placed them in a good position to get some points on the board.

Next week sees Martock RFC 1XV play away to Tor RFC 2XV which is set to be a close encounter.
