On Saturday 26th September Martock RFC welcomed Minehead Barbarians RFC 2XV to the Recreation Ground. This was a game that Martock RFC had targeted as a possible win after a previous heavy defeat away to Hornets RFC 3XV. Unfortunately Martock RFC began the game with a shaky start, however in the end delivered a promising final score of 34 – 0 to Martock RFC. There were some good passages of play, along with some impressive tries scored by Martock RFC in the second half. Martock RFC also received a bonus point win, along with not conceding any points. The players know they need to sharpen up their performance and be more clinical if the club is aiming for at least a mid-table finish. The try scorers were James Hoar 3, Tom Flynn and Patric Bernaus, the extras were kicked by Tom Flynn.

Next weekend sees a gap in the action for the 1XV, however Martock RFC 2XV have a game at the Recreation Ground against Exeter University Engineers as a friendly fixture.
