The Assassins faced home side Saracens first on Sunday after the early start to Hertfordshire, and went a goal down early on. Unfazed by this, Peewee netminder Owen Rider who was called up to his first Youth game stood strong and the team gelled and started to build up pressure. Matthew Laming drew the game level late in the first period to make it all square at 1-1 after the first period. The 2nd period started hard and fast and after 9 minutes Josh Rose put the Assassins in front for the first time, only for the Saracens to level the game a minute later, but before the end of the 2nd period Josh Rose scored his 2nd and the Assassins 3rd to give the Assassins a 3-2 lead going into the 3rd and final period. With 7 minutes left the Assassins took control with Finesse Kallay scoring twice before Matthew Laming scored his second of the game and give the Assassins a memorable 6-2 win!

After an hours break the Assassins faced Chelmsford Hylanders. Boyed by their first result, the Assassins started where they finished and put pressure on their opponents. Finesse Kallay scored twice within the first 2 minutes but Chelmsford pulled one back against the run of play. Finesse completed his hat trick before the end of the first period and the Assassins led 3-1. Chelmsford started the 2nd period faster and kept the game within their grasp as they scored to make it 3-2, but Owen Dell and Kane Peachey scored before the break which made it 5-2 to the Assassins going into the final period. Starting where they left off the Assassins scored twice through Samuel Wyatt and Matthew Laming before Chelmsford pulled one back but it was Matthew Laming who scored once again and the Assassins make it 2 wins out of 2 with a 9-3 victory!
