The club are pleased to announce the signing of Ex- Reading, Aldershot youth player and Malaysian International Junior Eldsål.
Junior, who comes out of a short spell of retirement to join the Blues, can play at the back or in midfield.
Prior to retiring from professional football, Eldstål played for Malaysian giants Johor Southern Tigers for 4 years, where he soon became a fans favourite.
Blues fans would have seen him star in Tuesday nights 2-1 win away at play-off chases Kings Langley. Both Eldstål and Arthur dominated at the back.
We caught up with the Blues new boy, to see how he’s settled in and why he chose the Met...
“Been an easy transition, everyone at the club has welcomed me with open arms. Nice to be back in a changing room full of hungry aspiring players. With the squad being so young it's nice to see the desire and passion and you can see that in the way they play. It is a club that wants to play football and build.
The reason for my retirement was to come home and run my own business, a tech start up launching an ap end of the year. i know Max Blackmore at the club and to be honest he persuaded me to get my boots back on and join the club. I spoke to Gavin who has great targets and goals for the club. I am a born winner and my competitive side is still embedded in me and after speaking to Gavin it was a no brainer. Both him and Nursey are the type of leaders I like to play under. I want to be part of something big at the club. We are currently in the playoffs and still in it to be title contenders. Let's take it game by game and keep working hard”
