Chertsey made their early possession count as Gianluca Botti tapped in from close range after the cross came in wasn’t dealt with by Met. Botti could have made it a brace but his shot flew over the bar on the half hour mark. Jamal Sharpe could have equalised before the break but his shot went past the post after a good pass by Ben Mendoza.
Louis Degand and Izvnna Ikebuasi had the best opportunities in the second half as there was a shortage of clear cut chances for either side. Met tried to break down the Chertsey defence but were kept out by the team at the top as they saw out the three points which keeps them at the summit.
