This Saturday saw the forecasted thunder storms and flash flooding hold off and allow the Red Lodge community to celebrate the much anticipated 'freedom day'. Hundreds of people turned out to the event which saw stalls, an inflatable assault course, football for juniors as well as a demonstration rugby game and the opportunity for children to join in with some fun rugby drills.
As a rugby club it was fantastic to see so many people interested in what we were doing and even better to see 20+ children getting involved in the game. Hopefully this may be the start of something special at Red Lodge with discussions ongoing into how the club can reintroduce mini and junior rugby once again.
