After a week off due to a frozen pitch, Green resumed league duties with a visit from Bisley Allstars to the Burton Pavilion. Winning 3-2 away at Bisley earlier in the month in terrible conditions, Green were confident of replicating the result on their home patch in much better weather.

Green got off the a great start, with Steven scoring within the first ten minutes after some good passing moves. More good play in the attacking half on the right wing from Callum and Sean saw Ben receive the ball in the centre of the Bisley box with no one near him, and poked it home to make it 2-0. The remainder of the half saw Bisley get in behind the two wingbacks of Callum and Dom, and run directly at the wide centre backs, causing all sorts of problems and creating lots of chances. Somehow they didn't manage to finish one of the many chances though, so it remained 2-0 at HT.

The second half saw Green switch the system from a 532 to a 442, and this helped with having two wider players on each wing. Again, a strong start to the half with Callum crossing from the right to Fred, who laid it back to Ben to bury it in the bottom corner 3-0. The game got very scrappy and both sides continued to create chances but didn't manage to finish any. A long kick from Jamie in goal bounced all the way into the Bisley box, and their keeper made a mess of it with Steven chasing him down, allowing for Steven to round the last defender and tap into an empty net 4-0. A big score line that was not perhaps the most accurate reflection of an end to end game, but showed how Green had been clinical and Bisley had not. There was still time for more goals though, as Jonny chested the ball down in the area and this was somehow given as a penalty by the ref (shocking decision) who must have been wanting in on the action himself. Bisley dispatched the pen, and then scored a good goal after their striker was played in 1v1 moments later. Green managed to calm things down and see out the remainder of the game for a good home win! 4-2 FT.

Another 3pts for the promotion push, and now we face Bisley again at their patch next Sunday in the Price Albert Cup QF! Come on you Green!
