Milford Hall Ladies section has taken another step in its development by entering a side into the South East Staffs Womens Cricket League for the first time.

Matches will be 8 a side with 15 overs per innings. There are 6 teams in the league who will play each other home and away with Milford Hall playing home matches on Tuesday evenings through the summer. Milford Hall will be joined in the league by teams from Burntwood, Tamworth, Hammerwich, Elford and Dunstall Cricket Clubs. The Milford Hall ladies will play their first match at Hammerwich in the w/c 13th May with their first home game being on Tuesday 22nd May against Elford.

The League games will complement the friendly games and competition that will be arranged for the junior girls who have been practising hard all winter and whose numbers are steadily growing. The ladies are training with the girls on Monday evenings at the Club from 6.30 in the capable hands of Chris Elsley and Pat Turner. So if you have been thinking why do the men get all the fun now is the time to start playing cricket and join the Milford Hall Ladies.
