We have a fantastic story to share with you, about Fraser Holden - a true Zulu Warrior!

Fraser was born with only one functional lung, he joined our U14 against his mum's best wishes... since then Mum has admitted to being wrong... "rugby is the best thing that has happened to him"

We are very proud of you Fraser, well done from everyone at MKRUFC!!!

Here is Frasers story in their own words...

WARNING... Major, shameless super long proud parent alert!!!!

Last night we went to the end of season MKRUFC under 16's presentation evening. We spent a lovely evening with fab food, drink and most importantly, got share it with really wonderful people.

Fraser & Coldagh were awarded a special award for 'most loved up couple'. This made my heart smile because Coldagh really has such massive impact on Fraser.

And then the final award of the evening, the Cawthorn Cup. This is a super special u16 award and it was only awarded to Fraser!!!! I cannot tell you how proud Steve and I are of him. I also can't tell you how much this award will mean to Fraser.

I remember Fraser saying he wanted to play rugby and I'd always said it was the one sport I didn't want him to play. Steve & I also have never wrapped him in cotton wool and always allowed him to find his own limits. So with that, he joined MKRUFC at under 14's. Have to say it was the best decision ever made! He lives and breathes rugby, he has taken ownership of his own physical strength and worked so hard to improve his stamina & fitness. His lung infection is the best its ever been. He has never stopped trying to better himself. He's shared his frustration, he's tested his own limits but he's persevered. He's shown up and worn the club shirt with total pride. He's listened to his coaches and manager (mostly!) and taken on board what they have said. His maturity, attitude, focus, discipline and respect has thrived.

To be awarded this is a reflection of everything the club stands frond we cant thank you all enough for the recognition of Frasers growth, for believing in Fraser and being such a huge part of he has grown to be. So a huge heartfelt thanks to all of the coaches, the manager, his teammates, the parents and all at MKRUFC for just being bloody brilliant! Rugby family! #pride #passion #respect "
