Darren, who played professionally for Wrexham from 1986 to 1990, played most of the Charity match at Alyn park yesterday but felt ill with chest pains after the final whistle.
Darren was taken to Wrexham Maelor hospital before being moved to Liverpool but news this morning was that his condition had improved and is now stable.
We would like to say thank you to Darren for playing in the match and wish him all the best for a full and speedy recovery.

I would also like to say thank you to those present, especially Jackie Jones, that attended Darren until the ambulance arrived.
