Fresh from their victories at Roundhegians' 10s last Saturday, Morley play Stockton at Scatcherd Lane on Saturday.
Their last visit was for a mid-week friendly fixture on December 5th, 1989 when they won a close game 11-6. This was the era of the 4-point try and Stockton scored two from messrs. Phil Champion and Graham Kell with a penalty from Craig Lee. Morley's only reply was a couple of penalties from the ever reliable boot of Jamie Grayshon. Their current Chairman, Graham Newton, was playing in that match, but is not thought to be in the squad for Saturday.
As well as defeating the Maroons on the pitch, I seem to remember that they also did well in the drinking games afterwards in what was a very enjoyable evening.
Our new caterer, Cucina, will be providing pre-match lunches at £12.50 from about 1.30.
