Exchange finished the season tonight with a 5-3 victory against muir of ord in an end-to-end game with 8 goals and two sending off's.
In the opening stages there wasn't too many clear chances, with both defences on top until a slip allowed muir forward one-on-one with exchange keeper Gary MacLeod and made it 1-0. Exchange scored twice before half time to take a lead into the 2nd half, the first was a through ball from Neil Holmes to Derek Brindle who confidently put the ball into the net. The 2nd on the stoke of half time was an excelled curling effort from Martin mainland from outside the box.
Exchange certainly improved in the 2nd half and were playing some good football, our player of the year Ryan Rutherford made it 3-1 on the 62nd minute and a neat finish from Donald Sutherland made it 4-1 on 68th minute.
At 4-1 down things got worse for muir of ord with a sending off for foul language but that didn't stop them pulling one back to make it 4-2.
Muir then pushing to get back into the game were caught on the counter attack and Donald Sutherland done the hard work before cutting it back to Ryan Rutherford who scored our 5th (and his 2nd) of the game.
There was still time for martin mainland to pick up a 2nd booking and leave both sides with 10 men when the final whistle blew a minute later.
