This Sunday at RAF Cranwell, Nettleham travel to face Boston, entering the County Cup at the Quarter Final. The Netts have won the tournament every year since 2013/14.

Boston won the Lincolnshire County Women’s League last season, earning their promotion to East Midlands Women’s Regional League North. They are currently top of their new league, 7 points ahead of Moorlands, who sit second on the table.

Two leagues higher, Nettleham are currently 5th in the league. They will be coming to the game off the back of a narrow 1-0 away win against The New Saints. Boston also won their last game. Last Sunday they came away with a 7-2 victory at home over Ilkeston, who sit fourth in the league.

In last year’s County Cup, Boston made it to the Semi-final, where they were beaten 6-0 at home by Nettleham. The Netts went on to win the tournament, beating Grimsby Borough 7-0 in the final.

A year prior, Boston were beaten away by Lincoln Moorlands in the first round. Moorlands made it to the final, narrowly missing out on the win. Nettleham came away triumphant, beating their visitors 3-2.

The Netts will be hoping to win the Cup for the sixth year running but Boston could pose a real threat.
