Nettleham travel to league leaders West Bromwich Albion this Sunday.

West Brom are yet to lose a game this season, having taken all 45 of their possible points.

The Netts have met Sunday’s hosts twice so far this season. When hosting the National League Plate game, West Brom easily won 5-0.

However, in the league, the Netts put up more of a fight. West Brom came away from the tight game with a 2-1 win despite a 62nd minute goal from Daisy Marsh meaning Nettleham were leading until the 96th minute. Deep into injury time, West Brom pulled one back with a header. Soon after, they took the lead as miscommunication between the referee and Nettleham’s goalkeeper created another - arguably unjust - opportunity for the visitors.

The Netts’ impressive 5-1 victory over Solihull Moors last weekend is overshadowed by West Brom’s recent 11-0 win. Sunday’s hosts have had many high scoring games this season, having scored a total of 71 goals. Nettleham have only scored 34, with a goal difference of four.

It would seem that West Brom will retain their unbeaten run on Sunday but Nettleham may arrive at Boldmere St Michael’s ready to cause an upset.
