Nettleham face Stockingford AA Pavilion Ladies this Sunday for the second qualifying round of the FA Cup.
The team will travel to Nuneaton to take on the side which currently resides in the West Midlands Regional Women's Division, which is one league lower than the Netts. They came third in their regional division last season. Last week’s opponents, Bedworth United, topped that same league. In the final game of last season, Bedworth beat Pavilion Ladies 6-1 to earn their promotion alongside Nettleham.
So far this season, Sunday’s opposition have played two, won two and only conceded one goal. They sit with Redditch United and Coventry Sphinx at the top of the table with six points and a +3 goal difference. Earlier this month, they won their first FA Cup qualifying round match 2-0.
With Pavilion Ladies playing at home and coming off the back of a 3-1 victory against Lye Town on Sunday, and the Netts visiting after a 3-2 defeat, there are no guarantees of an easy game on Sunday.
