Another pre season fixture played and even though the result wasnt in our favour the manager will be happy with the improvements made from the previous week. Both set of teams played some decent football at times and some quality saves from both keepers kept the score at nil nil for half time. Lots of changes during the game for both teams and players adapted quickly. Very tight game in the 2nd half but Careau got on the ball more and broke the deadlock on 65min from a slip in the box. Another quick blow with the 2nd coming 5 min later. 2 nil. Game became very open at times but the reaction was good from the Wen as they got back on the ball and created chances. The inform Careau keeper was not giving his cleen sheet up as he made some quality saves throughout.
Overall 17 players fielded and gaining valuable game time. good defending and pressing on show and some good link up play to go with it. We move onto next week with 2 sessions midweek then another fixture where we play Aberdare reserves
