New Brighton Villa Football Club are pleased to announce the return of Pete Morris to the club's management team.
Pete returns to the club after spending 12 months at Ardal League side Brymbo Football Club with former manager Dave Roberts. Following Dave's decision to join Hawarden Rangers, Pete decided to return to the Estadio de Mark Lopez as we hope to finally start our first season in the newly formed North East Wales Premier Division.
Before his departure last summer, Pete was an integral part of the management team and we are thrilled that he is returning to pick off where he left off. He will be a vital part of our coaching set and his influence on and off the pitch will be invaluable to the club going forward.
Pete was delighted to be rejoining the Yellers and went on to say, "I'm delighted to be back home, following my departure from Brymbo. I had several offers including continuing with Dave Roberts at Hawarden, but as soon as there was an opportunity to return to New Brighton I felt it was too good an offer to turn down. I feel given the squad the management team have assembled and with targets we are looking to bring in, I'm confident NBV will have a very successful season. UTFY!"
Manager Shaun Antrobus said, "I’m made up that Pete has returned to the coaching staff. After hearing how much of a positive impact Pete had in his previous spell at the club, it was a no-brainer that it would bring a major boost with him returning. Along with Liam, I know we’re excited to start working with Pete. Welcome back Pete!"
Pete joined the lads for training last week and was on the touchline for our last two friendly games. All at New Brighton Villa Football Club would like to welcome Pete back to the club and we wish him every success in his new role as we look forward to the new season.
