Newcastle Town returned to Midland Floodlit Youth League action last night with their first Supplementary Cup game at the Red Industries Stadium against Lichfield City. It was a closely fought affair with Castle taking the lead through Matthew Harrison before the visitors levelled things up. It was Matthew Harrison who again put Town ahead just before the break. Castle went 3-1 midway through the second half through Oliver Torjussen but the visitors had hearts fluttering at the end by pulling a goal back with Town reduced to 10 men with a sin bin offence. It was good to be back.
