New Dock Stars entered their first competition under new coaches Phil, Nima and Hywel when they entered the Seren 7's charity tournament in Birchgrove.

The boys played exceptionally well, winning there first game against Seren Baa-Baa's 26-19, with the tounrnement well under way the boys won there second game 12-5 against Rho-Dy-Law (Llangennech) guaranteeing their place in the semi-finals. A win in the last pool game would mean Dock would finish top of the group, however finalists Ystalyfera Titanium's put a halt to Docks winning streak losing 35-7. The semi finals started shortly after the group stages where the team produced an excellent performance in the first half again the division 1 team, eventually losing out to the tournament winners Bonymaen Broncos 29-0.
