Open day success, over 30 children all from local primary schools attended the Newham Dockers Rugby League Clubs first open day last Saturday the 25th March. A lot of happy faces were seen when the children saw Max and Jacob who have been working tirelessly in the local schools coaching rugby league to the Borough of Newham, and there hard work showed when children and parents flooded the rugby pitches. Jacob Ogden and Max Savage two London Broncos academy players join John Isaacs, Pete Gandy and former Newham Dockers youth player and now coach Donatas Vainorius teaching rugby league to the Minis in East London. The day was a massive success and all coaches and London Rugby League Foundation member of staff John Keyes and the two community coaches have done a fantastic job promoting the club and the open day to the schools in the area.
