New signing Adam Jones is expected to go straight into Mike Norton and Dave Birch’s Millers squad this evening, when Cheadle Heath Nomads visit Church Lane in the NWCFL.
With Nat Kerr expected to miss out with the groin injury sustained against Eccleshall, Jones could slot into central defence alongside James Neild, a move that will free Dennis Sherriff to return to an attacking position. Kerr is not the only injury doubt going into the game as Benito Lowe faces a late fitness test, while The Millers joint managers have been working hard to add to their squad in recent days and it is possible that there may be late additions prior to kick off.
Nomads come into the game on the back of two defeats, to Sandbach and Vauxhall Motors, and they will be looking to bounce back in tonight’s local derby. The visitors are likely to have several faces familiar to Millers supporters in their ranks this evening, most notably Ashley Stott, who appeared for the club in the Evo-Stik League Division One South, NWCFL Premier Division goal scoring sensation Leon Grandison, and George Blackwell who appeared for the Millers in more recent seasons.
The match kicks off at 7:45pm and usual admission charges apply.
