The RFU have released the fixture list for the upcoming Durham & Northumberland 2 season.

With Aycliffe facing their first year in DN2, it was good to see that the first two fixtures are to be played at home, where Aycliffe remain unbeaten in two seasons.

The first away game will then provide a real test for the 1st XV as they head to local rivals Bishop Auckland, who will look to lay down a marker against the recently ascended Aycliffe, and likewise, the first XV will want to prove that they are up to scratch home and away.

Certainly looks like an exciting season ahead.
