The NBFC girls football has been going for almost 10 years but we have now reached a critical moment if we want to be able to continue in the New Year.

From the New Year, both Neil and Andy will be stepping back from coaching duties for the various girls age groups. This will result in no availability to support weekend matches (any age group) once the season formally commences, circa March 2020.

For the record, Andy will continue to undertake the secretarial duties for all girls football within the club and Neil will continue to lead training on a Thursday evening (albeit this may take the form of mixed age groups - finer details to be confirmed).

U13s
In order to be able to ‘sign up’ to a competitive league for U13's next year, we are urgently seeking new coaches (parents etc.) to step forward. If we cannot secure this additional capacity then we would continue to take training on a Thursday evening but with no fixtures in the New Year.

We appreciate that for any girls wishing to continue playing competitive football, then this arrangement would be less than ideal and may prompt a move to other local clubs. It would also be very helpful for parents to confirm that their kids plan to play next year.

If anyone can spare the time to augment the coaching capacity for NB Girls football, then please step forward .

To note: in order to commit to fixtures as part of League next year (March 2020), teams need to be registered by 20th December 2019.

U11's (2009 + 2010)

We currently have no coaches and only a couple of girls who train with U13's.

U9's (2011 and younger)

Currently we have around 8 girls which Andy is coaching until Christmas. For this age group to continue we will need a new coach /parent helpers for training and also to try and get girls back into routine of playing 4-aside and 5-aside mini tournaments which they have been missing out on. No previous experience necessary as the club will put you through coaching courses at whatever level you are comfortable with.

The current bunch of girls are all dead keen and dedicated and love their football and it would be a shame for the girls football to possibly have to finish.
