A big question to ask – how did we beat St Marys 7 – 5 in the second half but they beat us 26 – 0 in the first half?

Answer- we just don’t concentrate for half an hour after we kick off.

There are always some good performances for example try saving tackles from Chris D and Dylan S – great drives from Jason H and Tom S but without the support of other players guess what - we lost possession of the ball.

The rucking is still poor – too much staring at the ball as opposed to rucking over. Having said that Sam D was as always doing his best but he can’t do it on his own. Give your skipper more support.

There were other examples of some good tackling from Max P Charlie A and Bailey P. Liam C one of the smallest players in the squad brought down the biggest player in the St Marys team – and Liam got up and ran back into position.
Our one try came from a break by Charlie R and a pass to Callum O’L which he carried across the line. A well worked move guys.
Some very accurate line kicking from Luke J and the safe boot of Charlie S always gets us out of trouble.
A spectator did shout to the ref “ Pickles you should take a visit to Spec Savers” but he has decided not to take the incident any further.

So overall a great improvement on the result in our home tie against SMOB before Christmas and with good showings from a number of the less experienced players means plenty of competition for places. Still plenty of room for improvement though.
