The Millers are once again on the road for the 4th straight league game as we travel over to Bedfordshire to face newly promoted Biggleswade FC in game week 23 of the Southern Football League.
The hosts, formed as recently as 2016, have very little senior football history but a very impressive resume of success in that period. Biggest among them was their treble winning season last year lifting the SSMFL’s Premier Division title, the Premier Division Cup and the North Beds Charity Cup.
Form
North Leigh: L W L W L
The Millers will desperately be hoping to bounce back after Saturday’s painful defeat against 10-men Yaxley. And although we are struggling to string together some wins, we have been consistently picking up points with a rather entertaining win lose win lose scenario dating back to November. New goalkeeper Adam North has looked rather impressive so far and could be the key to holding down more clean sheets with a more confident back line.
Biggleswade: W L W W D
Hosts Biggleswade, who are tied with North Leigh on 32 points having played an extra game, could be a very difficult opponent. They seem to have gathered a bit of momentum in recent weeks and have picked up 10 points from a possible 15. This has included wins against Kidlington and AFC Dunstable, both of whom beat North Leigh. To make matters worse they boast when of the best defensive record for all teams outside the top 6. But a surprising 1-1 draw away to St Neots last Saturday may have knocked Biggleswade off their guard.
Last Time We Met
This will be the first ever encounter between North Leigh FC and Biggleswade FC.

Did You Know?
Biggleswade FC were formed after the very successful Biggleswade Town U18’s side who, with no further pathway available at the club, decided to form a new club. Their successful application for senior football saw them enter into the Spartan South Midlands Football League Division One. The link is clearly still strong between the two clubs with the newly formed Biggleswade FC ground sharing with Biggleswade Town at their Langford Road stadium.
