Northwich are delighted to announce the signing of Zambia international 26 year old Mphatso., who has signed for the remainder of the current season and next.
Mphatso Hillary Mwashi is a loose head prop forward, he was playing for Leopards Rugby Club and is a Zambian National team player. Zambia national team is ranked #8 in Africa.
Mphatso represented at U19 & U23 prior to making his debut for Zambia vs Madagascar in 2018. He currently has 13 caps for the country his latest in a World Cup qualifier vs Kenya in 2021.
Mphatso’s strength is in his scrummage and, line-out support, as a bonus he is more than capable of executing a throw-in, with aggressive defending, and versatile in open play.
Director of Rugby Yan Cartman is pleased to have got this one over the line as the squad continues to be bolstered.
He said “Mphatso is a strong player, with a good attitude and we are delighted to be bringing him into the club for the reminder of the season and the next”.
