Team bonding

Our old U11s now new U12s team met up for some much needed fun at Delamere Wildshore for a fun social and team bonding at its best on the large inflatable assault course. Our coaches were proud to see them forge friendships, bond as a team and overcome some watery challenges.

Team coach Chris Blower said ”It’s not just about rugby we want our players to have fun and build lasting friendships, after all a team that plays together – stays together “

A healthy squad both in numbers and ability, have represented Northwich this year winning more than they have lost. At start of the season our plan was just to get the players playing as a team and improve support play and tackling and this was a success, because as the season progressed both our forwards and back line demonstrated a real flair for open, running rugby – particularly as their confidence grew – and by the second half of the season, the penny dropped and the players asserted themselves correctly in training and for games and this was when the team began to look as if they had been playing together all their lives. One of the great things about this sport is that there’s always room for improvement, we can all work on doing something just a little better. When everyone does that, the results can be amazing – and if there’s one thing I know about each and every one of our players, it’s that there isn’t anyone who wouldn’t give their all for the team.

The new season starts in September, and we are looking for new players to join us at the "Friendliest Club in Northwich". Everyone is welcome, whether you are experienced or new to the game. As this squad age group starts a new chapter in their lives and they move into secondary school, we hope all regulars continue to develop their rugby down at Moss Farm as they have real potential to become a very strong team, next stop another 5-6 players for the squad, if our players can entice some of their new school mates.

Enjoy your summer here's looking at an enjoyable 2024/25 season and please encourage a friend, school mate, child or sibling to join the club and play the great game whilst developing skills such as Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Discipline, Respect and Enjoyment.
