Good afternoon and welcome to Plantation Park for today’s Thurlow Nunn Premier Division clash against Brantham Athletic. This will be Norwich United’s tenth game of the league campaign and their fifth home game of a busy September for the club. The Planters have won all six of their matches in September so far and will be hoping to continue our winning run today.
Brantham Athletic started the league season with two wins from two but haven’t won in the league since, and have lost the two league games they have played this month so far to Gorleston and Newmarket. However with a full seven days to prepare for this game (as opposed to The Planters four) and some proven players at this level they are sure to offer a significant threat.
Thank you to all in attendance today and we hope you and your friends and families have remained safe and healthy through the pandemic. Please continue to give each other space and be considerate of others at all times.
We would like to welcome the players, supporters and officials of our opponents Brantham Athletic and the refereeing team for today’s game which consists of referee Dario Matthewson alongside assistants Alexander Melton and James Sneddon, please show respect towards the opponents and officials throughout.
Please feel free to visit our newly refurbished upstairs bar or outdoor tea hut, where drinks, confectionary and some small items of merchandise are available. Cash payments are currently required on the gate and at the tea hut but we can accept card payments in the bar.
If you’re interested in owning a Norwich United shirt or other new merchandise please be aware we have a new online shop which can be found at www.4sportsgroup.com/Supporters-Clubshop the main place to obtain Norwich United clobber. Thanks to new kit suppliers Joma and 4Sports for their support in setting this up.
All three of our new shirts are available to order through the website above, along with hoodies, scarves and hats. Please leave your details at the bar if you don’t want to order online and somebody from the club will contact you to assist.
We hope you enjoy the game today. Norwich United’s final game of September is on Tuesday 28th when we travel to Swaffham Town, who are yet to pick up a point in the league at the time of writing. Following this we travel to Stamford AFC for the club’s first time in the 3rd Qualifying Round of The FA Cup.
