After losing Saturday’s game 3-0 to Bromsgrove Sporting, we remain second in the table with 32 points, still 4 points behind Tamworth, so we’re hoping to win this game to close the gap even more to get us back at the number one spot!
PREVIOUS MEETING
Our last game against Basford United was an away game on August 16th, where we took home the clean sheet win of 4-0!
The first goal was scored in the 31st minute, after Isaiah Osbourne headed the ball from a corner down into the ground and past Basford’s goalie. Our second goal only came our way 8 minutes later after Matt Stenson played Kane Richards in with a beautiful ball and the former Basford forward, kicked the ball into the net to make it 2-0 before half time,
The third goal was scored in the 64th minute of the game, as Ryan Beswick took the free kick from 20 yards out into the corner past the Basford wall and past the goalie. The fourth and final goal of the night was scored by Tyrell Waite, from a corner taken by Charlie Dowd and kicked it straight past the goalie in the 83rd minute of the game, giving Basford no chance to catch up with our 4 goals.

LAST OUTING
Our last game was Saturday afternoon, an away game against Bromsgrove Sporting, however we ended up coming home with a loss of 3-0, and if you didn’t travel over to watch, here’s the highlights of the game.
In the 9th minute Bromsgrove were gifted a free kick after Tyrell Waite ran offside, but nothing came of it. Bromsgrove scored their first of three goals in the 37th minute by Dan Sweeny as he picked up the ball inside the box going round Breeden and firing into the back of the net.
After half time, it didn’t take long for Bromsgrove to score their second and penultimate goal of the day, as Pais found space in the box again and kicks it straight into the top corner on the 57th minute. Finally, Bromsgrove scored their third and final goal in the 71st minute, by Smalley putting the ball straight into the back of the goal, making it 3-0 to the oppositions.
