What a few weeks we are having. It’s Monday and more brilliant news. We are excited to let everyone know that Nuneaton Borough Junior Football Club have agreed a partnership with the newly formed Nuneaton Town Football Club.
The partnership will see both parties working towards the goal of providing local footballers with a pathway to senior football, while also promoting the great work the junior section have in the community with their “football for all” ethos. The Junior Section will continue to be known as Nuneaton Borough Football Club, while also keeping its own committee, structure, and affiliation with Birmingham County FA for the foreseeable future.
NBJFC currently provides football to over 300 children and 24 teams, also running a successful Boro Ballers session for our youngest footballers. The section has a vibrant mix of Saturday and Sunday football catering for players of all abilities which includes a successful girls and ladies section.
Speaking to Mick Beale (Junior Treasurer) this week on the deal he said, “This partnership is just what the town needs. After we sat down and heard what NTFC were putting together, and how much they were keen to work with us, it didn’t take long for the committee to agree this is the best outcome for both parties.” A beaming Mick continued, “This is such an exciting time for the section and the new club, I can’t wait to work closely with them to provide the town with a successful football club for the community to be proud of.”
Ian Cook, Chairman of the newly formed Nuneaton Town spoke of his joy. "This is another key part of our rebirth and to bring our football clubs back together. I cant wait to get going and see where this journey takes us all."
After finalising the deal, Ian mentioned, "As a Community Interest Company we recognise our responsibility to promote the participation in football for all ages and abilities. Our partnership with NBJFC is an important step in this direction."
We cant wait to get going and bring on 2024/2025!
