The winger spent one season at Boro after making the switch from Stourbridge.

Callum Powell has left Boro for Northern Premier League side Buxton after a year at the club.

The 24-year-old former Northampton Town academy player, appeared in 45 games under Jimmy Ginnelly, scoring 12 goals.

Prior to joining Boro Powell also had a spell with Wrexham before further moves to Tamworth and then Stourbridge.

Boro manager Jimmy Ginnelly spoke about the winger and praised his time at the club.

"The gaffa would like to wish Callum all the best up at Buxton. He was a very exciting player for us at Nuneaton and certainly got you fans off your seats, he scored some cracking goals for the team, he worked back for his teams mates and his pace caused havoc for the opposing teams, he’s a great lad and Buxton are certainly inheriting a great character around the dressing room.”

"Gary was only telling me last week that their chairman is certainly having a go for the title this season and has given the management a serious war chest, as the signings he’s making are showing.”

"When Callum rang me and told me about the deal he’d been offered, even I said you’d be mad not to take that deal WOW was my first reaction!”

"So we wish him all the best at Buxton. He has left on good terms with us and he knows he would be welcomed back with open arms at the Boro in the future. "
